JVFD Participates In Regional Strike Team Excercise

Firefighters from Station 1 participated in the Central Texas Regional Strike Team Hazardous Materials Drill on November 1st in Kyle, Texas. Member from 7 area county teams participated in the day long event. Jollyville is a member of the Williamson County Haz-Mat Response team in conjunction with Cedar Park, Taylor, Georgetown, and Round Rock fire departments.
Althought the drill was a day long excercise, the Williamson County team was only committed from 1:00 PM to 6:30 PM. Members of the team monitored, identified, and mitigated a spill from a highway transit type container. To see more pictures, look in the photos section under Haz-Mat Team.
