B Shift Car Fire

December 6, 2006

10100 Blk Osprey Ct.Station 2 firefighters responded to a car fire on December 5 in the 10100 blk. of Osprey Court. Engine 38 was dispatched at 11:50 A.M, and arrived on scene in just 3 minutes. Using the new CAFS, the fire was knocked down in about 5 minutes. No injuries were reported, and the fire was believed to be started from an electrical short.

Santa’s Back !

Santa Continuing an over 30 year tradition, the firefighters of the Jollyville Fire Department are proud to escort Senior Firefighter Kris Kringle (Santa Claus) throughout the neighborhoods beginning December 10th.

Santa will be visiting the neighborhood children with candy and smiles on Sunday the 10th of December, and Saturday the 16th of December. Although his schedule becomes more hectic each year, Santa still enjoys his time with the children of Jollyville (mostly because of the name of the town.) Read more

JVFD Participates In Regional Strike Team Excercise

Regional Strike Team Drill in KyleFirefighters from Station 1 participated in the Central Texas Regional Strike Team Hazardous Materials Drill on November 1st in Kyle, Texas. Member from 7 area county teams participated in the day long event. Jollyville is a member of the Williamson County Haz-Mat Response team in conjunction with Cedar Park, Taylor, Georgetown, and Round Rock fire departments. Read more
