Car Fire

‘A’ Shift firefighters from Station 1 responded to a car fire at McNeil High School on the 24th, at approximately 2:00 P.M.  Quint 39 arrived to find a small passenger car with a fire in the engine compartment and under the dashboard.  The fire was quickly contained using tank water.  The temperature outside at the time of the fire was 107 degrees.

JVFD Assits Sam Bass With Brush Fire

‘B’ Shift firefighters from Station 1 responded with the Sam Bass Fire department to help control a brush fire threatening houses on FM 620.

Brush 36 responded and firefighters were on scene for a over an hour hitting hot spots and ensuring the fire was out.
