‘A’ shift firefighters were happy to see shift change this morning after a busy shift.
The shift started at 09:00 A.M. with a staff meeting. After the staff meeting, Station 2 firefighters as well as Chief Kiracofe, Chief Landi, and Lt. Johnson all reported to Taylor to honor Chief John Coates, former Travis County Fire Control and Hutto Fire Chief, who passed away March 9 at his home in Hutto. Read more
Kitchen Fire For B Shift
January 31, 2007
B shift firefighters responded to a house fire on the evening of January 31st. First arriving Engine 34 from Station One found light smoke initially and extinguished a small fire in the kitchen area. Second arriving Engine 38 from Station 2 arrived quickly and began to assist Engine 34. What initially appeared as a contained kitchen fire did extend some into the attic above the kitchen. Read more
Recreational Vehicle Fire Damages House
January 15, 2007
B Shift firefighters managed frigid temperatures the night of January 13th to control a fire in a recreational vehicle that spread to a nearby house. Firefighters from Jollyville Stations 1 and 2, as well as several volunteer firefighters and Chief Kiracofe responded with units from Austin, Cedar Park, Travis County EMS, Williamson County EMS, and Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.
Early morning structure fire!
January 9, 2007
At 1:48am January 9th firefighters from the Jollyville Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Sawtooth Lane. The fire was contained to one unit of a tri-plex (or 3 plex if you will). There were no injuries and the cause of the blaze is still under investigation. The Cedar Park Fire Dept., Austin Fire Dept., and the Sam Bass Fire Dept. also responded but were cleared shortly after their arrival.
