C-Shift Makes Auto Aid To Sam Bass

PICT0071Station 2, ‘C’ Shift firefighters responded to assist the Sam Bass Fire Department with a house fire on the evening of December 27th. First arriving units were hampered by malfunctions with the hydrants and low water pressure. Units from Sam Bass, Jollyville, Cedar Park, Leander, Round Rock Volunteers, and Florence and Georgetown made the scene while units from the Round Rock Paid FD covered Sam Bass stations.

B-Shift Firefighters respond to a rollover!

Roll OverAround 7pm on December 26th B-Shift firefighters responded to a roll over collision at the corner of Woodland Village and Missel Thrush. Enigine38 arrived on scene to find a two vehicle collision with one vehicle on its side. They had a total of 7 patients, two of which were entrapped. Engine 34, Rescue 35, and Quint 38 from the Austin Fire Department responded to assist with extrication. The roof of one of the vehicles had to be removed.

Recent Collisions

December 19, 2006

Parmer Auto-PedA shift firefighters kept busy with recent calls. The first on the 13th was an auto vs. pedestrian on Parmer Lane at Dallas Drive. The lucky bicyclist received non-life threatening injuries, but was still transported to the hospital for observation.

On the 16th, a rollover collision on Millwright brought the response of station 2 firefighters. The driver of that vehicle was transported to the hospital by EMS as well.

B Shift Car Fire

10100 Blk Osprey Ct.Station 2 firefighters responded to a car fire on December 5 in the 10100 blk. of Osprey Court. Engine 38 was dispatched at 11:50 A.M, and arrived on scene in just 3 minutes. Using the new CAFS, the fire was knocked down in about 5 minutes. No injuries were reported, and the fire was believed to be started from an electrical short.
