New JVFD Photographs
September 29, 2006
Photographer Carlos Garcia recently stopped by Station 1 and asked if he could take a few pictures. Of course the crew on duty (B shift) said that would be fine. What you see to the left is one of the photos to come out of that day. The photographs are beautiful and unique, and we are enjoying them very much. Check out the ‘photo‘ page for the rest of the pictures and thanks again Carlos for allowing us to share the photos on the site.Â
Photos of the ’38s’
August 31, 2006
Photographer Billy Poyner stopped by to take some pictures of the new Engine 38 in service at station 2. The new truck has been in service for a little over 2 weeks and has been working great.
As with all new trucks, there have been minor difficulties and ‘things we have to get used to’, but all in all it is a tremendous asset to the department. We always enjoy putting a new piece of equipment in service and increasing the quality of service we can provide.
It was also great that Billy stopped by while both engines were at the same station, still numbered with the ‘38′. Out with the veteran as the third generation ‘Engine 38′ begins it’s service to the community.Â
