A Shift and Volunteer Staff Respond to Massive Brush Fire

Crews battled a 2,100-acre grass fire in Florence, off County Road 240 and 195, Thursday evening.
Officials said 20 homes in the Pecan Branch sub-division and 40 houses near County Road 233 were being evacuated. The fire continued to move as of 6 p.m. Thursday, as Texas Forest Service and Star Flight conducted water drops. Read more
